How to find your way on Campus Carlsberg

Kort over Campus Carlsberg

Campus Carlsberg is located extremely close to the train station Carlsberg St. You can also travel to the campus by bus. Busline 1A, 9A, 11 and 23 all have stops close to campus. We recommend looking it up at Rejseplanen or downloading the app. If you have Google Maps, you can also use the app for your public transportation schedule.

Campus Carlsberg consists of two buildings: Warehouse (W) and Karréen (K).

If you need to locate a specific room during you stay, every room or hall at Carlsberg has its own code. If, for example, you see a room code beginning with W4, the room is located on the 4th floor of the Warehouse building. If instead the code begins with K2, the room is located on the 2nd floor in the Karéen building. The two buildings are connected by bridges on the 2nd and 4th floor.

WI-FI

Wi-Fi is accessible to everyone (students, guests, and others) by logging onto ‘KP-guest. No password is necessary.

If you have an Eduroam account, you can also connect to Eduroam.

If you have any IT-related issues during your stay, you can always get help at Basen at the Study Center in K1.

Transportation

In Copenhagen you will find various types of public transportation including:

  • Buses
  • The metro
  • Trains

You can find information about transportation and create specific plans at the Rejseplanen. You can also read more about public transit in Copenhagen at Din Offentlige Transport.

Find your way from the airport to the city

From the airport you can either take the train to København H (central station) or take the metro to Nørreport Station (city center). You need to buy a ticket covering three zones.

City Pass

The most convenient ticket to buy is the City Pass, which gives access to unlimited travel on buses, trains, and the metro.

With the City Pass, you will not have to worry about buying a new ticket every time, and therefore we recommend this. Depending on where you live, we advise you to choose either the City Pass Small (covers Copenhagen and the trip from the airport to the City of Copenhagen) or, if you live outside Copenhagen, you will need to purchase the City Pass Large (covers Copenhagen + the Greater Copenhagen area).

You can buy the City Pass at the Copenhagen Airport or at any ticket vending machine at one of the stations.

General information about tickets and prices

Always buy a ticket before boarding the train or metro. You can buy your ticket in ticket machines, which accept Danish cash and the most common credit cards, or 7 Eleven kiosks at the train and metro stations. At the central station, there is a DSB ticket office as well as ticket machines.

The same ticket can be used for the metro, bus, train, and harbour bus. Always have your ticket with you in case a conductor wants to see it. Travelling without a valid ticket will result in a fine of up to DKK 1000.

Be aware that tickets are quite expensive. If you would like to save some money or just experience Copenhagen the “Danish way”, we recommend renting a bike for your stay. You can usually rent a bike through your hotel/hostel or in any of the bike shops in town.
