Session types
Session types
At the EFYE conference, there are four session types. All session types are represented in every parallel session. Each session is 60 minutes.
-
Show and tell
In a show and tell session, you will meet 3-4 presenters. Each presenter will do a 5-minute presentation followed by a 20-minute open discussion. Here delegates can walk around and ask questions. Finally everyone will have a 20-minute plenary discussion. When joining a show and tell session, you will get more perspectives on one overall topic.
-
Presentation
Join a presentation session if you want to learn more about research focused, evaluated practices, or results of strategies. You will meet two presenters and both of them will have 20 minutes to present their research followed by 10 minutes of questions from delegates.
-
Workshop
Join an interactive 60-minute workshop if you want to have the opportunity to share knowledge, thoughts and experiences on the workshop topic. When joining a workshop session, you will spend at least 50% of the time engaged in active learning approaches. There will be office supplies (post-its, pens, paper, flip-over) in every workshop session
-
Poster
In a poster session, you will find A1 posters presented in the same space. Presenters will shortly pitch initiatives, projects, or research to delegates. You will have time to ask questions and engage with the presenters after the pitch. When joining a poster session, you have time to explore the projects in your own pace without plenary discussion.

Outdoor sessions
This year you have the opportunity to experience classic EFYE session types in an outdoor space at our campus. In the programme, you can see which session types are held outdoor this year.
