Early Childhood and Social Education

Modules are offered at Campus Carlsberg in Copenhagen

Please note that all the courses offered in Early Childhood Education, Social Education and Special Education are 20-30 ECTS each. Therefore, you can only attend one course per semester.

The courses are available to students from Social Education, Teacher Education, Social Work or similarly related educational settings. And the courses are available to both exchange students and Danish students.

Practice Placement

About the programme

The BA in Social Education offers pedagogical specialisations within the three different areas of day care education, school and leisure education and social- and special pedagogy. Social educators therefore work in a variety of places, i.e. in day-care centres, pre-school classes, recreation centres/school-based leisure time facilities, after school clubs, 24-hour service institutions, and institutions for children, young people and adults with reduced psychological or physical capacities.

At Social Education the teaching incorporates different methods, including group work, innovative project work, discussions and lectures. We continuously work with combining theory and practice.
