KP International Week 2023 March 27-29

Sustainable lives - locally and globally

How do we approach sustainability as a joint process – and navigate inequalities and conflicts relating to creating sustainable lives for all?

Working towards sustainable lives demand multi-layered global, intergenerational, and local perspectives. Our work with sustainability—be it socially, health-wise, economically or environmentally—is invested with power relations, interests and histories, and, sometimes, such complex perspectives collide, at other times some perspectives are simply left out.

So, how do we ensure that different perspectives are included, and inequalities and conflicts are addressed properly and productively, when working to create sustainable lives and environments within our schools, welfare institutions and workplaces? We believe that our educational institutions are obliged to take part in such important debates and implement adequate measures to care for sustainable lives at our campuses—for students, employees and beyond.

At the yearly KP International Week, we celebrate international collaboration in relation to our various academic fields – but we also invite you to join us for an international debate on how to co-create sustainable lives globally and locally within our educations and work fields. Welcome!
