You need proof of English proficiency

National Danish law require all applicants to show proof of English language proficiency, corresponding to English B2 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

This must be done by uploading one of the accepted language certificates when submitting the online application form.

The accepted certificates and minimum requirements are:

  • Erasmus+ Online Linguistic Support test with the minimum score of English B2
  • Oxford Placement test: Minimum score: 75 overall + 75 in each subtest
  • IELTS: Minimum score: 6.5
  • TOEFL internet-based test: Minimum score: 83

The submitted certificates must not be older than 3 years to be considered valid.

Native speakers are exempted – but need an official letter

If English is your first language, you are exempted from language testing. Instead you will need to obtain an official letter from your home institution confirming that you are following a fully English-taught programme.
